High floor or Low floor for a Condominium?

High floor or low floor? Which floor is better and more suitable to stay and live?

Cons of Low Floors:

1. Susceptible to pests (mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches)

2. Noise disturbance from the environments and road traffics

Cons of High Floors:

1. Strong wind (higher height = stronger wind), creating howling noises, and slam windows and door shut. Your balcony will also be wet when it rains.

2. Higher ambient temperature from heating of sun rays, the warmer it is when the floors are closer to the rooftops.

3. Longer wait time for lift to arrive (and also more stops to pick up more residents along the way before reaching the ground floor).

4. Low water pressure. The higher the floor, the water pressure drops due to gravity. City water enter at ground floor and at static pressure. This is likely a problem unless your building development has installation of booster pumps and break tanks.

Verdict: Middle floors suit well and fine for most people.
